本授業は、マルチメディアの工学的理解を主題とし、マルチメディアの要素である画像、音、テキストの各情報に関する基本技術の理解を達成目標とする。また、マルチメディアの本質の一つである対話性の重要さの把握も達成目標とする。／The subject of this class is engineering understanding of multimedia, and the goal is to understand basic technology concerning information of image, sound and text which are elements of multimedia.In addition, I aim to grasp the importance of interactivity, which is one of the essence of multimedia. |

最初にマルチメディアの定義を試みた後、メディア処理の基本であるパターン認識について学ぶ。画像に関しては、表色系、特徴抽出などを学ぶ。音に関しては、音声などの音処理の基本について学ぶ。テキストに関しては形態素解析などの日本語処理などを学ぶ。このように、本授業ではマルチメディアについて工学的視点から考察する。次のように進める。1回 ガイダンス、2回 マルチメディアの歴史と特徴、3回 対話性、4回 デジタル化、5回 データ圧縮、6回 パターン認識、7回 教師付き学習、8回 教師なし学習、9回 画像処理(表色系)、10回 画像処理(前処理)、11回 画像処理(特徴抽出）、12回 音処理の基本、13回 最近のマルチメディア処理、14回 テキスト処理の基本、15回 全体のまとめ。 授業の進展状況により、上記の順序を変更したり、内容を変更することがある。 ／After first trying to define multimedia, I teach about pattern recognition, which is the basis of media processing.As for images, I teach color systems and feature extraction.As for sound, I teach the basics of sound processing such as speech.I teach Japanese processing such as morphological analysis for text.In this way, I teach multimedia from the engineering point of view.I will proceed with class as follows. 1 guidance, 2 history and features of multimedia, 3 interactivity, 4 digitization, 5 data compression, 6 pattern recognition, 7 supervised learning, 8 unsupervised learning, 9 image processing (color system), 10 image processing(pre-processing), 11 image processing (feature extraction), 12 sound processing, 13 recent multimedia processing, 14 text processing, 15 summary of this class Depending on the progress of the class, I may change the above order or change the contents. |

成績評価方法は期末試験あるいはレポート(約85%)、及び、平常点(約15%)。 評価基準は、マルチメディアの定義、パターン認識、画像処理、音処理、テキスト処理、最新のマルチメディア研究開発状況とマルチメディア応用システムに関する理解度。 ／The grade evaluation is the final exam or report (about 85%) and ordinary score (about 15%).The evaluation criteria are the following understanding levels: Multimedia definition, pattern recognition, image processing, sound processing, text processing, understanding of the latest multimedia research and development status and multimedia application systems |
