This class will be conducted in English. There will be a reading and/or writing activity assigned for homework after most classes. Many classes will start with a group discussion based on the homework, so it is essential for the content of the class that all students do the homework every week. Critical evaluation of oneself and of peers will be major components of the class. This entails that revision will also be a major component.
Always bring a learner’s English dictionary to class (paper or digital). An English-Japanese dictionary can also be useful.
