Academic English for the Second Year I is a course that is designed to help students communicate in English both orally and in writing. The primary goal is for students to develop confidence and competency in their speaking and writing abilities. Students will summarize and make academic, critical arguments for or against various topics and themes, chosen by the students themselves. Class activities and materials will be oriented around pair and small group work. |

All assigned readings and video viewings must be done outside of class. Students are expected to spend about one hour each week preparing for the upcoming class, as well as reviewing materials from the previous lesson. |
