/Topic and goals
Academic English for the Second Year I is a course that is designed to help students communicate in English both orally and in writing. The primary goal is for students to develop confidence and competency in their speaking and writing abilities. Students will learn how to summarise academic materials and how they are utilised in a research English setting as well as learn how to present the materials they have researched.

All assigned readings and video viewings must be done outside of class.
Students are expected to spend about one hour each week preparing for the upcoming class, as well as reviewing materials from the previous lesson.
