Course Goals
1. To learn to write and present basic parts of the research genre
2. To improve presentation skills in English.
3. To improve critical thinking skills and increase self-awareness from doing 1 and 2.

/Course outline and weekly schedule
Class Content:

1. The first 2/3 of the semester will be mainly focused on the research genre. Every week, we will look at different important aspects of this genre. During this first 2/3 of the semester, students will also learn important skills for presenting research. A group presentation will end the first 2/3 of the semester. The last 1/3 of the semester will be focused on summarization, another important academic skill. Students will learn how to summarize a topic, and then react to the topic using the skills learned in the first 2/3 of the semester. An individual presentation will end the final 1/3 of the semester. Below is the weekly schedule:
