/Themes and goals(up to 2,000 letters)
This class will serve as an introduction to academic written English. Students will learn the essential skills required to navigate academic texts and write their own argumentative essays. These skills include the basic components of essay writing including, brainstorming, outlining, drafting, editing and referencing an academic paper. In addition, students will learn how to properly summarize academic texts using a variety of methods.

This course will also feature an extensive reading module. These graded readers and other texts will serve as topics for some of your summaries and reaction papers.
