Due to COVID-19 and the state of emergency, this class will be taught online for at least the first several weeks. We will use Zoom and Google Classroom. Students who want to take this class should contact me by email by 12 noon, May 13. Please contact me as soon as possible. If you have already sent me an email and I have responded, then you do not need to contact me again. The goal of this class is to develop students' ability to participate in academic discussions in English. |

Grades are based on participation in class, three discussion tests, and completion of two self-evaluations of their discussion tests. Active participation: 10% Discussion Test I: 20% Discussion Test II: 30% Discussion Test III: 30% Completion of Self-Evaluations: 10% (5% each) |
