You will engage in "International Virtual Exchange," where you will interact with university students either from Columbia, China, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, UAE, Vietnam, or other universities in Japan, by conducting online discussions on various topics. You will have opportunities to practice effective writing skills to convey your ideas in a persuasive manner. You will be able to express yourselves more easily by the end of this course. |

授業内容と その進め方 /Course outline and weekly schedule |
1. The International Virtual Exchange Project runs for eight to nine weeks. Because the participants in this project live in different time zones. the exchange is basically asynchronous unless the pairs agree to interact real-time. 2. You will receive minute comments on your composition from me, which will improve your skills in English as you correct your writing. 3. It will basically be a very quiet class. After receiving the instructions for the day, you will concentrate on reading and writing. 4. At the end of this course, you will make a "reaction video," as a final message to your overseas partners, and also make an in-class presentation as a message to me. Class 1: Class introduction (description of International Virtual Exchange) Class 2: Preparation for Forums Classes 3 - 5: Writing and interacting in Forum 2 Classes 6 – 8: Writing and interacting in Forum 3 Classes 9 -11: Writing and interacting in Forum 4 Classes 13 - 14: Create reaction videos Classes 15: Final presentations + viewing of videos |

You will receive communication from your pair about twice every week, to which you will reply. The interaction with your pair will be done both inside and outside of class. You are also expected to send me your compositions as soon as you write them, to which I will comment on them. |
