＜授業内容＞ 政治を語るにあたり、「国」や「国家」、「政府」といった概念がよく用いられる。とりわけ、今日の新型コロナウイルスに対する対応のように、社会に共有されている大きな問題を考える際には、こうした概念は頻出する。 問題は様々な概念の意味内容やその歴史的背景である。日常の暮らしにおいて、「政治」や「国家」を私たちが口にしてしまう、その前提をわざわざ考えることはない。「国家」とは何であって何でないのか、「国家」を抜きにして「政治」を語ることができるのか、なぜ社会的な問題を解決するのに「政府」を持ち出す必要があるのかといったことを意識することはまずない。 この授業では、学生がそれぞれにこうした問題に対する答えを持つことができるよう、国家をめぐる今日までの学術的研究の流れを解説する。予定している内容は次の通りである。 10/6 導入（授業の概要、政治の定義） 10/13 国家の定義と2つの国家像 10/20 近代国家以前（１）バンド社会論 10/27 近代国家以前（２）属人的国家 11/10 近代国家以前（３）属人的国家からの転換 11/17 近代国家の登場（１）非属人化としての欧米近代革命 11/24 近代国家の登場（２）非属人化の進展例 米国 12/1 近代国家の登場（３）非属人化の進展例 ヨーロッパ 12/8 いわゆる開発途上国の概況（１）ラテンアメリカ 12/15 いわゆる開発途上国の概況（２）アジア 12/22 いわゆる開発途上国の概況（３）アフリカ 1/5 国家建設をめぐる重要な論点（１）資源の呪い 1/12 国家建設をめぐる重要な論点（２）経済のグローバル化 1/19 国家建設をめぐる重要な論点（３）エスニシティ・多民族性 1/26 国家建設をめぐる重要な論点（４）外部の介入（開発援助など） 2/2 国家建設から考える近代日本 ＜授業の進め方＞ 本講義はオンデマンド形式で実施される。授業日前日までにアップロードされた音声ファイルと講義資料を確認し、授業後にGoogle Formsで用意される小テストを受けること。下記「遠隔授業に関する情報」にこれらのファイルを格納したフォルダがある。第2回以後の授業では、前回の授業の内容確認を兼ねて、小テストの回答の解説をする。 <Course description> State and government are the most oft-cited concepts when talking about politics, especially in a moment of contemplating serious social problems such as actual policies for COVID-19. However, we rarely take into account their definitions and historical backgrounds. What is state and what is not? Can we discuss politics without referring to our state? Why should we introduce our government to tackle with social problems? The resume and the audio file for each week will be uploaded by the start of the class (4th period of Wednesday). Students are expected to understand the contents and to answer the quiz via Google Forms. The URL of the folder containing the resumes, audio files and quizzes is shown in “Distance learning information”. All the classes except those of the first and second week start with the comment of the quiz. |
