Building on what they have learned in Academic Spoken English I and II and Academic
Written English I and II, students in this course will review and further learn how to summarize and how to organize different kinds of arguments, in both spoken and
written English. Students will prepare both spoken and written reactions, consisting of a summary followed by an original argument, to spoken and/or written texts. Students will also develop academic skills necessary for academic communication, including presentation and critical thinking skills.
