Students in this course will understand the components of a scientific research report, which includes both written research reports and spoken research presentations. This course fosters academic skills necessary to perform research and communicate research findings, including writing, presenting, and critical thinking skills. This will be accomplished by conducting one or more research projects, either individually or in a group, and writing at least one research paper and giving at least one research presentation. Activities and teaching materials are chosen and designed by individual teachers as shown in the course outline and weekly schedule below. |

This course will be held on Zoom. Written research paper: 40% (15% for First submission, 25% for final submission) Research presentation(s): 30% (10% for mid-term presentation, 20% for final presnetation) In-class performance: 20% Other assignments and activities: 10% *Please note that only 40 percent of students in the class can attain S or A. |
