情報・ネットワーク工学分野における専門技術者や研究者として将来活躍するであろう大学院修士学生諸君にとって，技術英語文章の読解・作成能力ならびに英語でのプレゼンテーションスキルの修得は大変重要である。本授業では，英語による学術文章作成及びプレゼンテーションを体験することにより、英語による学術論文作成や国際学会発表、さらに国際共同プロジェクト参加等、研究遂行上有効と考えられる実践的なスキルの修得を目指したい。 It is very important for you as prospective professional engineers and researchers in the field of information and network engineering to acquire reading comprehension, writing and presentation skills in English. In this class we aim to learn practical skills which are thought to be useful for your future job such as preparing academic papers in English, presenting international conferences, participating in international collaborative projects, etc. by preparing research paper and presentation in English. |

英語タイプⅡ（Bb）により講義を実施 本授業では、15回に渡り、専門教員と英語課教員との協働による実践的な英語スキルの向上を目指します。特に、技術英語文章の作成及び発表能力の養成に重点を置きます。 In this course, we aim to improve your practical English skill through collaboration with instructors in English department. In particular, we will concentrate on writing technical English and training the presentation skills in English. 講義では、国際会議論文、国際学術雑誌の執筆、国際学会での発表を想定し、トラディショナルな講義は、コンセプトを伝える程度にとどめ、学生自ら授業中に手を動かして英文作成や発表スライド、スクリプト作成を行い、学生間や教員によるフィードバックに重点を置く、演習＋個別指導形式の授業スタイルを採用することで、各学生のレベルに応じた英語能力の向上を目指します。 We focus more on exercise rather than traditional lecture to develop your technical english skills. You are going to write an abstract and full paper, and presentation slides and script in English in the class room. Immediate feedback will be given to you by your instructors hopping around the students during the course. We respect your english skill and try to improve it by individualized instruction. The presentation session will be made at the end of the course. 具体的な授業内容として、各学生の卒業研究成果をベースとして以下のタスクを実行します。 （１）英語論文概要の作成、IMRAD構成に基づく、論文の各セクションの執筆と講評 （２）英語による研究発表スライド、スクリプトの作成と発表および審査 英文作成においては、各自のモデル論文やコンコーダンスプログラム等を用いることにより、学術英語の表現方法のバリエーションを広げていきます。また、海外からの訪問研究者などによる特別講演等も適宜実施予定です。 さらに、国際学会発表、国学術論文執筆予定の学生さんに対して、ニーズに合うよう個別に柔軟な対応を行います。 1. グローバリゼーションが進む中、日本の将来を担う学生諸君にとって、上記に挙 げられた技術英語に関する技術英語作成、発表を自ら手を動かし体験することにより、実 践的スキルを身につけ、国際的な活躍への一助となってほしい。また、国際学会や国際学術論文雑誌に投稿予定の学生さんも積極的にサポートしたいので、ぜひ授業中にその旨申告してほしい。 As globalization progresses, there is no doubt that it is beneficial for you to acquire the practical skills related to the technical English mentioned above. We hope that you will be able to work internationally by taking this course focusing on writing an abstract and full paper, and research presentation in English. Also, we would like to actively support those who are planning to present papers in the international conferences and/or submit papers to the international journals. Please do not hesitate asking us for our help during the class. |
