Students in this course will understand the components of genres of academic written English, i.e., two-sided argument and summary, selected for students of science and engineering. The course fosters the basic academic reading and writing skills as well as critical thinking and other academic skills, such as discussion, required for achieving students’ communicative goals. In-class activities and teaching materials are chosen and designed by individual teachers as shown in the course outline and weekly schedule below. |
